Late DMK chief M Karunanidhi’s son M K Stalin on Tuesday was elected unopposed as the party president while senior leader S Duraimurugan became its treasurer. The party president’s post fell vacant following the death of Karunanidhi, who had held the post for 49 years since 1969.
