SC notice to govt, WhatsApp over ‘non-compliance’

A bench of Justices RF Nariman and Indu Malhotra agreed to examine the issue after an NGO - Centre for Accountability and Systemic Change (CASC) - alleged that WhatsApp was not implementing the laws and also not co-operating with Indian agencies to deal with the menace of fake news being spread through its platforms.
