Trio win Nobel Prize for laser physics work

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences on Tuesday announced the winner of 2018 Nobel Prize for Physics which was shared by Arthur Ashkin, Gerard Mourou and Donna Strickland. The award has been given for inventions in the field of laser physics which have paved the way for advanced precision instruments used in corrective eye surgery.
