'15 mm bridge beam reduced to 2 mm by corrosion'

The supplementary chargesheet filed in the Himalaya bridge collapse case of March 14 that caused the death of seven people and left over 30 injured has revealed that the condition of the bridge had drastically deteriorated. A test for thickness of the cross beam on the bridge which cracked found it had reduced to 2mm from 15mm.
