BMC chief to bring back ALMs over demand for ‘eyes and ears’ of civic body

In a major victory for citizens associations in the city, new municipal commissioner Praveen Pardeshi has overruled his predecessor Ajoy Mehta’s order to deregister advanced locality management (ALM) groups that comprise prominent citizens and activists who used to coordinate with local ward offices.
