Mayor’s aides ‘beat up’ BMC engineer in Bandra

The chief engineer of the BMC’s storm water drains (SWD) department, V Khankar, was on Tuesday morning allegedly assaulted by supporters of Mumbai mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar after an altercation between the mayor and Khankar over nullah-augmentation work in Kalanagar, Bandra East.
