In first, BMC to give payout for Malad tragedy

The BMC has agreed to give compensation to the next of kin of the 31 persons who died and those who were injured in the July 2 Malad wall collapse. This is the first time the civic body has agreed to give a payout in such a case, given that there is no policy currently to compensate victims of any tragedy except for tree collapse victims
