Mumbai Port Trust seeks Rs 3cr for pilot’s death

Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) has raised a compensation claim of up to Rs 3 crore against the owners of cargo vessel, M T Fuji Galaxi, following the death of its senior marine pilot, V P Gupta, on August 8. The ship owners have said the actual amount will be settled through the protection and indemnity (P&I) club, a senior MbPT official revealed.
