Bombay HC junks petitions against tree felling at Aarey, fines Shiv Sena corporator

The Bombay high court on Friday dismissed petitions challenging the Tree Authority's decision to fell over 2000 trees for Metro 3 car shed at Aarey Colony. The court also imposed cost of Rs 50,000 on Shiv Sena corporator Yeshwant Jadhav, also a member of the Tree Authority, who had also filed a petition.
