Mumbai once again elects five women MLAs

The newly elected 288-member Maharashtra Legislative Assembly will have 23 women — 11 of them sitting legislators. Still, this is an improvement over the previous 2014 election, when only 20 women were elected to the lower house. The prominent loser among women leaders is BJP leader Pankaja Munde who lost from Parli.
