Juhu school ordered to refund Rs 9.4L to parent

A consumer forum has ordered Juhu-based Ecole Mondiale World School to refund Rs 9.4 lakh paid by the father of a Class VIII student who withdrew her admission before it was made final as the family dropped its plans to relocate to the city from Seoul in 2008. The forum said the school’s submission that it had clearly specified that under no circumstances the fees would be refunded was “one-sided”.
