Mumbai: TB patient dies as kin hunt for blood

Varsha Mehare, a 28-year-old critically ill with drug-resistant tuberculosis, collapsed and died at Sewri TB Hospital on Wednesday, leaving her family, who spent all day desperately looking for two units of A+ blood, devastated. The Raigad woman’s end came shortly before doctors were to transfuse the blood.
