‘Adopted’ girl killed, packed in concrete drum

The police are hunting for a 38-year-old man accused of killing his nine-year-old niece, whom he had informally adopted, as she was allegedly struggling to adapt to an urban lifestyle and frequently soiled her clothes. His wife and a relative who had helped dispose of the body stuffed into a drum and packed with concrete in Kasara ghat have been arrested.
