Citizenship Act: Mamata appeals for calm amid violent protests in Bengal

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday urged people to maintain peace and warned that strict action will be taken against people found indulging in violence. Mamata appealed for calm as several places across the state saw violent agitations and vandalism by people protesting against the amended Citizenship Act.
