Man tries to burn down girlfriend’s house, held

The Central police have arrested a 30-year old Ulhasnagar resident for allegedly trying to set his girlfriend’s house on fire after her mother objected to the alliance. Senior inspector Sudhakar Suradkar said the accused, Ashok Waghmare, and Rekha Marutiya wanted to get married, but her mother Kamal (54) was opposed as he was unemployed.
