When 30-year-old Arpit Balian started the take-off of a twin-engined C-90 Beechcraft aircraft with six passengers from Mumbai international airport at 8.30 am on Thursday, the pilot was not commanding an ordinary mission. The passengers were astronomers and space scientists out to capture the annular solar eclipse.
