Bal Thackeray statue may miss Jan 23 deadline

Shiv Sena’s plan to unveil a nine-ft-tall statue of the late Bal Thackeray at a traffic island in south Mumbai on January 23, which marks the 94th birth anniversary of the party founder, is likely to be delayed as permissions from BMC and the government are not yet in place.
