Bengal assembly passes resolution against CAA, demands its repeal

The West Bengal assembly on Monday passed a resolution against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The state govt had tabled the resolution against the CAA in the Assembly appealing the Union government to repeal the amended citizenship law and revoke plans to implement NRC and update NPR. Kerala, Rajasthan and Punjab have already passed resolutions against CAA.
