Mumbai: Car registrations drop 17%

Vehicle registrations in Mumbai dropped by 18% in the first three quarters of the 2019-20 financial year over the same period the previous fiscal. The drop for cars was 17% and two-wheelers 12%, showed data released from the transport commissioner’s office on Monday. There already was a 16% drop in vehicle registrations in the city in 2018-19 over 2017-18, as reported by TOI earlier.
