BMC to give staff extra funds for emergency use

With the rising number of Covid-19 cases creating a need for additional quarantine and isolation centres in the city, the BMC on Tuesday sought a special sanction of funds from Rs 25 lakh upto Rs 10 crore. These funds will be used to meet several requirements including making stamps for home quarantine patients, personal protective equipment (PPE) like masks and sanitizers for civic body staff, mattresses and beds for patients in hospitals.
