BMC struggles to control crowds at market sites

The BMC has begun to shift some of its 69 wholesale, retail and main roadside vegetable markets to open grounds in an effort to provide more space for social distancing to vendors as well as buyers. The civic authority, though, is struggling to implement the initiative due to “non-cooperation” from vegetable vendors and buyers and the ensuing confusion.
