BYL Nair begins transition as Covid hospital

The city’s tertiary care BYL Nair Hospital, outside Mumbai Central station, began its transition as a Covidonly hospital on Monday, with five serious patients being admitted. “The hospital had 50 Covid patients, so we totally have 55 here,” said Dr Manoj Joshi, who has just been named dean of Nair Hospital. The 225 non-Covid patients at the hospital will gradually be shifted to other hospitals.
