Liquor lovers willing to pay the price, moolah flows into state coffers
Liquor shops across the country did roaring business on the second day on Tuesday after the government allowed sale during the lockdown, as cities witnessed long queues — and less chaos — all through the day. Liquor stores in Maharashtra registered sales worth Rs 62 crore, Rs 197 crore in Karnataka, Rs 100 crore in Uttar Pradesh and Rs 40 crore in West Bengal.
