Mumbai to witness heavy to very heavy rain today

With moderate rain on Thursday and Friday, Santacruz observatory recorded 990.5mm rainfall this month, the highest August figure for the city in nine years. The IMD has, meanwhile, issued an orange alert (heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places) for the city, Thane and Palghar for Saturday.
