Mom, newborn shunted between hosps, both die

A 22-year-old woman and her newborn son died due to alleged medical negligence in Neral, Raigad on Sunday. Poonam Ruthe’s family alleged that after the delivery, though she was excessively bleeding and the baby was not responding, they were moved between multiple hospitals. The Raigad district health officer has ordered a probe into the alleged death caused by negligence.
