Mumbai man asked to pay Rs 1.5L monthly to wife

A magistrate’s court has ordered a businessman to pay a monthly interim maintenance of Rs 1.5 lakh to his 36-year-old estranged wife, a pilot, after she told the court that she lost her job due to ill health caused by repeated harassment by the man. The husband will have to pay her a total of around Rs 42 lakh in interim maintenance arrears-from the time she submitted the complaint and sought relief in July 2018.
