Rs 2,100-cr GST fraud: Pvt firm director held

The state GST department on Sunday arrested the director of a company who opened fictitious companies, submitted bogus sale invoices of Rs 2,100 crore and claimed Rs 185 crore Input Tax Credit (ITC). Dilipkumar Ramgopal Tibrewal, arrested from his Malad home, was sent to judicial custody till December 5. His associates are wanted in the case. Tibrewal’s firms deal in fabrics and cotton textiles.
