Father of double murder accused told to pay Rs 5L
The father of an accused in the 2015 double murders of artist Hema Upadhyay and her lawyer Haresh Bhambhani was ordered to pay Rs 5 lakh for failing to bring to court the tempo allegedly used in disposing the bodies. The trial court had handed over custody of the tempo, an important piece of evidence in the case, to Ramadhar Rajbhar in 2016 after he said his family’s survival depended on it. He sold it despite the court’s rider not to dispose it.
