Maha eases rules to let 1.5k liquor shops re-open

In a move aimed at boosting its revenue, the state government on Friday issued orders to relax a clutch of rules that would enable nearly 1,500 liquor shops to re-open after they were forced to close some years ago after a 2016 Supreme Court ruling.
