With eye on civic polls, MNS plays Marathi card

After getting e-commerce giant Amazon to add Marathi support on its platforms, following protests by its workers, Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) wants other international companies to add that language option too. With this, the party, which suffered repeated electoral setbacks, is going back to basics, playing the hardline Marathi card to stay relevant ahead of next year’s BMC elections.
