Mop in body after operation: 2 docs booked

Two years after the death of a Malad homemaker, an FIR has been registered against two gynecologists for “negligently” leaving behind a surgical mop in her body while performing a hysterectomy. The FIR registered by Dindoshi police is based on a report by an experts’ panel from Grant Government Medical College. The woman’s family members say the past two years have been a “nightmare” and they have exhausted their savings while running from pillar to post to seek redressal.​
