After Doppler flop, city to get 5 radars soon

The fact that the city’s only Doppler radar did not work on Monday when an extremely severe cyclone came within 120 km has upset experts. Madhavan Rajeevan, secretary, ministry of earth sciences, agreed and called it “very unfortunate” in a tweet, but went on to add that it did not affect monitoring for Cyclone Tauktae.
