Cash-strapped BMC to shell out Rs 1.6cr to rent e-cars
At a time when the BMC is facing an acute shortage of funds and has had to dip into its reserves, it plans to spend Rs 1.6 crore on renting brand new electric cars for its civic leaders. Instead of buying new e-cars, the BMC has decided to rent these for a period of eight years.
