Live: Kerala's daily Covid-19 cases at 45-day high

India’s tally was back to nearly 40,000 on Tuesday, a day after the country had reported the fewest daily cases since March 16. In the northeast, new cases surged to an all-time high of 806 in Mizoram while Manipur recorded 1,127, just short of the state’s highest count of 1,171 reported last Saturday.
