Rane arrested for comment against Uddhav

After the Mahad police registered a criminal case against Union minister Narayan Rane for offensive speeches against chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, leaders of the MVA government were in two minds about whether to arrest him. They were aware that in most cases registered under section 153 of the Indian Penal Code --- provocation with intent to cause riot --- rarely is an accused arrested.
