Covid deaths: High BP is most prevalent comorbidity

Hypertension or high blood pressure alone, or in combination with diabetes, was the commonest comorbidity found in patients who succumbed to Covid-19 in the state recently. The heavy burden of both these lifestyle diseases has often been underlined as one of the reasons why Maharashtra saw more than 1.4 lakh fatalities due to coronavirus.
