Deporting illegal aliens, SC need not step in, says Jharkhand

The Jharkhand government has told the Supreme Court that the Centre and states are taking necessary steps for identification and deportation of illegal immigrants, and opposed a PIL seeking the court’s intervention for deportation of illegal immigrants, including Bangladeshi and Rohingya. It said the alarming scenario sought to be created by the petitioner was misconceived and speculative.
