Sonia bereaved; Prez Murmu, PM & others offer condolences

Congress president Sonia Gandhi's mother Paola Maino died on Saturday, the party said on Wednesday. She was in her 90s and living in her home in Italy. When the Gandhi family left for travel abroad last week, Congress announced that it was for Sonia's annual medical check-up, and that the family will also visit her home town to see her ailing mother.
