Centre sitting on collegium names unacceptable: SC

Expressing deep anguish over the Centre not clearing the names recommended by the collegium for appointment of judges in high courts and SC and keep these pending for long periods, the Supreme Court on Friday said that such practice was not acceptable and sought an explanation from the law secretary.
