Broker to pay Rs 1.6 crore relief for dud cheques

A magistrate’s court recently ordered a Goabased woman broker to pay Rs 1.6 crore as compensation to a Breach Candy resident after she issued cheques of Rs 80 lakh as refund for a scrapped property deal in 2007 that were dishonoured.
