Tram to be open for public viewing soon: BMC

Over a year after it was first proposed, the BMC plans to put the British-era tram on public display this month. While a restored tram was brought to Bhatia Baug in front of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) several months ago, construction work on the pathway and podium on which the tram has been kept is still under way. Civic officials said they estimate the work to be completed in a fortnight after which the 32-seater tram can be opened up for public viewing.
