Two more Sion Hospital doctors test positive

The count of infected healthcare workers at the civic-run Sion Hospital touched 13 on Thursday after two more doctors tested positive for coronavirus. In ten days, seven doctors, five nurses and one ward boy from the hospital have tested positive. A resident doctor from Nair Hospital’s gynaecology department too came positive. In a month’s time, over 150 healthcare workers in the city have caught the infection, accounting for 7% of Mumbai’s positive cases. Experts have raised concerns about the need to protect doctors to avoid cross-infection and ensure the functioning of hospitals.
